ONE FIYAH! MO FIYAH!

Who We Are

A Bit of Background

Here at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, we strive to carry out the mission of the National Society of Black Engineers through our collegiate chapter. With our numerous community events and support systems, we aim to aid and promote the aspirations of collegiate and pre-collegiate students associated with RPI.

For the hardworking students of RPI

With our organization’s mission always in mind, we are committed to creating experiences for the students of RPI. Whether we're focusing on fun oriented community bonding or providing tools and services for professional development, everything we host is for the benefit of the students in our community.

Pre-College Initiative Program

Helping pre-collegiate students prepare for the professional S.T.E.M world and other collegiate obstacles

The Pre-College Initiative Program is implemented by the National Black Society of Engineers across all chapters. The aim of this initiative is to take in local students from nearby high schools and help prepare them for college and the professional world, especially relating to the STEM fields. Our RPI chapter is currently work with students at Troy High School where we meet every Tuesday from 5:30-6:30.

Technical Outreach Community Help (T.O.R.C.H)

Getting involved with the community outside of RPI

With this initiative, our goal is to promote great opportunities for those in need. With access to the right resources, people can become empowered by their own abilities and gain the confidence to fulfill their potential. Learn more about our work by getting in touch with our team today.
