History of NSBE

    NSBE was founded at Purdue University in 1975 by John Logan, Edward Coleman, Brian Harris, Anthony Harris, George Smith, and Stan Kirtley, along with their faculty advisor, Arthur Bond.

     At the time of its founding, it was known as the Black Society of Engineers (BSE). Today, The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) with more than 10,000 members, is the largest student-managed organization in the country.
